Earthbound spirits are souls that have crossed over but have not gone on to the next step in their journey, which is leaving this existence and taking rest.
 
In Singapore and Thailand and many places in South East Asia, people do call in Taoist priests to cleanse the home if they feel something is not right. I have recently had the privilege of energy clearing a few properties in Singapore via accessing the property remotely through the Akashic Records.
 
An experience that stands out  is a call from a client who was upset since their 3 year old child has been describing an elderly lady an "Ammah" who she has been terrified of. The family consulted a Taoist priest after all efforts of calming the child, over a period of months came to naught. The Taoist priest advised finding the owner of the property so that they could give this elderly earthbound Ammah the see-off she deserves. When all efforts were frustrated because of a lack of solutions the priest did a survey of the home and said there were portalways in the home, he advised that there was nothing that could be done with the clearing of the spirit, as the Ammah did not cause harm and she owned the space. Who knows, he argued, which spirit would make itself at home, should Ammah leave, and the portalway allows in another guest.

This client had consulted me for a tarot reading, and when she told me her predicament, I advised an Akashic cleansing.
